To clean your fabric vertical blind first disassemble the top rung from the blind track and should you have connectors at the bottom of your blinds also remove these.

Washing Tips

A useful tip is if your fabric blinds are particularly greasy and dirty is to use a dishwasher detergent and pre-treated with a little liquid soap before placing into the washing machine. Make sure the soap that you use is mild and does not discover the fabric.

Ensure the setting that you use on your washing machine is a cold setting and put it on the shortest cycle possible. Ensure that they are rinsed thoroughly but to make a point to ensure that your washing machine does not spin them. Once finished, remove them from the machine and simply hang outside to dry or if that is not possible simply hang back onto the track to whilst providing some protection underneath to catch remaining drips water.

Should you not have access to washing machine then you can also clean your fabric vertical blinds in your bath tub. Simply fill up your bath tub with some lukewarm water and some washing machine detergent and leave to soak for around half an hour. Remove the water, and rinse off the blinds with your shower and hang outside to dry.
